A great Friendship Games in Christchurch, New Zealand by Alf Boyle, IWAS Lawn Bowls

Congratulations must be given to Quinn Mahoney in getting together the New Zealand team to play. It was a pleasure to attend these great Frienship Games during September this year.

The result of the 18 game series was a win to New Zealand by one game. Such was the competition. The big winner was the friendship that developed between the two Countries with Korea wishing to go back next year.

On the Friday 4th September, there had been so much rain, the Korean Team and myself went to a place called Akaroa. A beautiful spot in the warm weather but this time of year it was snowing.  Flying over the Alps on the way home it was like a scene from Lord of the rings.
