IWAS Athletics European Open Championships - Stadskanaal, Netherlands

The closing date for entries is on 20 May 2010 so with just a few days to go interest in this prestigious event is running high.  This will be the only Regional Championship opportunity this year and is therefore an open championships to accommodate entries from countries outside of Europe.  Athletes in classes 40+ and 50+ are elegeble to enter.

In addition, present at the Championships will be approved technical and classifier panels appointed by IPC in accordance with their regulations. 

Following the final closing date for entries on 20 May the full programme will be made available on the local organizing committee website.

As the competition is IPC approved, results of IPC Regestered athletes will be valid for qualification purposes and this will be a platform for some of the top athletes attending to break world records.
